Pashmina Shawl
Pashmina is the traditional Himalayan name for cashmere wool, which is collected in the high plateau regions of Ladakh, Nepal and the central plains of Inner Mongolia.
Pashmina shawls are the trendiest fashion accessory that a woman can own. We offer both the pure pashmina shawl, which is made with the highest quality of 100% pure cashmere and the pashmina with silk shawl, which is made with 70% cashmere and 30% silk. Cashmere and pashmina shawls are made with two-ply yarn.
The pure pashmina shawl is softer and warmer, whereas the pashminas with silk are have a slight sheen, due to the silk blending. The pashminas with silk are woven with silk running the length of the weave, and cashmere on the width of the weave. Hand-weaving gives this product its distinctive character and produces its slender drape, elegant silk sheen, and soft, delicate feel. It's no wonder the shawl has become a fashion favorite.
The classic pashmina shawl measures 36" x 80" and has 3" tassels at both end. We also offer a slightly smaller shawl, which is called the pashmina wrap and measures 28" x 80".
